ARTIST STATEMENT
My perception of the world and society was formed in my
grandmother’s book store, where I grew up consuming literature in all forms.
Drawing in books and diaries was my way to make the
narrative complete. I perceived visuals as an inseparable part of a story.
Today, using book pages, textual archives and diaries, I
create visual literature, by building text layers that merge with main image
and reflect the fragmented histories, memories, and experiences that shape
identity.
My compositions and installations are born at the
intersection of literature and art. Just like literature, they tell stories
about the journey of the evolution of consciousness. They capture the
chronotope of the moment, a turning point when our perception shifts and a new understanding
emerges.
Red threads show complex interconnection between humans and
the surrounding world.
Each work becomes a fragment of a larger
narrative, like a page from an ongoing book of existence.
BIO
Natali Part is an interdisciplinary artist based in Vorarlberg, Austria.
Born in Leningrad in a Russian-Ukrainian family of artists, Natali grew up in her grandmothers bookstore, where the unlimited consumption of unfiltered literature formed her personality and the perception of the world.
After completing her BA in Literature in South Korea (Keimyung University), she worked for Samsung, studied philosophy, world religions, and took part in international volunteer projects.
In 2003, she relocated to Austria, where a period of cultural displacement led her return to artistic practice. Natali has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the USA.
In 2025 she was selected as finalist by Artrepreneur in the categories “Women Who Inspire”, “Flashback” and “Pollinate”. In 2026 she was among the top four finalists for the cover of ART MUSE magazine. Her works are held in private collections in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Germany, England, the USA, South Korea, Ukraine, and Russia.
All of her artworks are signed and have Certificate of Authenticity.
Artworks "Letting go" and "Time heals" were chosen by the Jury for the 2025 WK exhibition.
